Song of the Old, and Two Other Poems

Lei Mo

When flowers wither in the rain
Spring has been old

When fish and pork are
decomposed in my stomach
I’m getting old

When the white clouds take
the shape of a grey dog
would the sky become old?

When coal and oil are all dug and pumped out,
would the earth be exhusted，falling into decay?

In the old ruined world
how  could I keep young?

Burning

The red plums are burning the cold land,
the incense and candles burning Buddhists’heads,
the night burning the embers of the sun,and
the country burning its people’s fat.

Light’s Footsteps

Light’s footprints appeared
in the dark forest
as if a tiger had haunted,
but there is nothing there
except a sleeping spider in its net,
and two red medlar berries
suspended on a twig.

老之歌（外两首）

雷默

花朵在雨中凋零
春己老去

鱼肉在体内腐烂
我在老去

白云变成了苍狗
天空己老？

煤和石油挖光
大地亦衰？

在苍老的世界里
心何以年轻

燃烧

红梅燃烧着寒冷的土地
香烛燃烧着信众的头颅
燃烧吧，黑夜燃烧着太阳的余烬
国家正燃烧着庶民的脂肪

光之履

光之履在幽暗的林中显现
好像一只猛虎刚刚出没过
但什么也没有
只有一只花蜘蛛，睡在自己的网里
只有两只红红的枸杞果，悬在细枝上

雷默，1963年出生于江苏海安县，现居南京幕府山下。中国当代新禅诗派的代表诗人。《佛教文化》、《禅》、《禅露》、《新大陆》、英语诗刊《TALISMAN》、《诗歌月刊》、《诗潮》、《诗选刊》等杂志均介绍过他的新禅诗。2013年，他又尝试新绝句写作，其代表作《立夏》、《灰树林》得到广泛赞誉。2007年出版诗集《新禅诗：东壁打西壁》。
